When the Hill-Smith Family first tilled the arid soils of Oxford Landing back in 1958, they were driven by a bold vision to put the life of the Riverland at the heart of their new vineyard.
Now, over half a century later, that life has found itself etched into the stories and painted onto the bottles of their latest drop.
Embracing sustainability at every step of the way, Riverlife by Oxford Landing brings a love of the Riverland and its abundant wildlife to the surface.
Recycling wastewater, utilising lightweight bottles and promoting zero use of animal products are initiatives undertaken by the Hill-Smith Family to help the river life not only survive, but continue to thrive.
It’s a drop that calls to the days spent basking in the sun, leaving wakes on the water and easing into a night around the fire. That perfect balance between peace and exhilaration.

Entry Introduction
The Riverland is at the heart of everything we do at Oxford Landing. From sustainably making our wines right through to our regenerative efforts, restoring and encouraging native flora and fauna to the area. Riverlife by Oxford Landing is inspired by the mighty Murray River, days in the sun, changing light, reflections, relaxing and watersports.
Design Challenges
Stay true to our Oxford Landing identity, encapsulating sustainability and our Riverland home, and target a new group of consumers in a fun and disruptive way. Younger consumers seek out brands which reflect their lifestyles and personal style, and are more likely to show up to a friends house with a label that looks unique.
Design Solution
We wanted to bring the river to life and shift the focus from flavour to lifestyle and experience in a more energetic and disruptive way. We were inspired by bold and often disruptive watersport artwork, and illustrative style. Moving at high speeds, watersport art needs to be bold, strong and in your face in order to be seen. It’s also very much an expression of individuality.
Design Impact
ALIGNED TO CONSUMER TRENDS - Riverlife is a collection of wines which are visually disruptive, engaging, lighter in style, sustainably produced and approachable. FOCUSED ON RECRUITMENT - Our eye-catching packaging and augmented reality experience allows for recognition, engagement, trial and recruitment of younger consumers into the wine category. AUTHENTIC - all elements illustrated on the label are iconic to our Riverland home.
