Entry Introduction
Vibrant labels on a range of wine varieties specifically targeting the younger and young at heart, slightly more adventurous wine buyer and those seeking something a little more interesting. It is a range of wines typifying the d’Arenberg approach. They've always been ahead of the curve, championing so-called alternate varietals long before there was a term for it.
Design Challenges
d’Arenberg wine labels are clearly recognised by the iconic red stripe over a mono colour palette. For this range, the task, and challenge, was to break tradition and introduce colour to further differentiate the range within the wider d’Arenberg portfolio, and not jeopardise the effectiveness of the iconic red stripe.
Design Solution
Ensuring white space on the labels and within/around each of the illustrations ensures the red stripe can have contrast on the bottle and stand out. A specific colour grade for each of the illustrations was also created to harmonise with the red stripe, ensuring they perform like a unified system.
