Thomas Vineyard Estate

The Thomas Vineyard Estate Shiraz is a fruit driven modern style Shiraz that celebrates the very essence of Mclaren Vale. It is lightly oaked to allow the fruit flavours to shine through and be in balance with the youthful vibrant tannins. The wine is just as well suited to consumption with food as it is on its own. Best enjoyed in Good Company!

The Thomas Vineyard Estate Shiraz label was designed by my grandaughter Catrin Thomas. As the Vigneron I asked Catrin to design a label that tells a story of the family and vineyard. I am very proud of her as her design certainly does that. My favourite colour is pink, her image of a female face and the rose, which is the favourite flower of her late Grandfather, the vineyard is surrounded by over one hundred rose bushes.

The challenge was to express the Premiumisation of The Ancestor to the loyal customers that have tasted The Seer and The Observer. To keep the Design inline with the Brand recognition yet set it apart. Metallic Gold for the name of The Ancestor and a darker colour scheme was used to convey heritage and history while tying in the Seven Dials Logo as well as the importance of the Telephone Dials.

Gold Metallic print on a Digital Image and using a Dark Brown with directional highlights to ensure the label did not become to dark. Vintage Telephone Dials in the design and layered telephone cords and script in the background.

The Gold for The Ancestor jumps out and adds a texture to the label. The dark brown has cartography and lettering that draws the consumer in, the details show there is much more to the story is to take the time to delve in. The Ancestor label has the same size and positioning of the Seven Dials logo so immediately is recognisable as a Seven Dials Wine yet the feel is different and I believe sets it apart from the previous wine labels.
