The In Praise of Shadows ‘Freewill’ series is about living well, happily, free and as part of a greater community. Hence, the labels for this series were created in line with these values. Suminagashi is an ancient Japanese marbling technique known for its unimpeded and whimsical form, which allows nature and chance to not only come into play but also shape outcomes. Over the course of a leisurely afternoon, the brand owner and members of the Parallax team littered the studio with marbled masterpieces, music playing, and wine in hand—some of which made it the label.
